Our building information modeling (BIM) and pre-construction expertise, paired with our wide capabilities and manufacturing capacity, combine to make University Mechanical & Engineering Contractors (UMEC-CA) a leader in fabrication services.
Between our two southern California locations, we have a total of 37,840 square feet of manufacturing capabilities, including 1,260 square feet of clean room space.
Our services include:
- Duct and piping fabrication, using industrial stainless steel and other alloys
- Plumbing fabrication for laboratory, hospital, and commercial installations, including cast iron assemblies
- Specialty sheet metal fabrication, working with virtually any type of metal, from 26 gauge through plate

Our field foremen coordinate with the manufacturing team to keep customers abreast of delivery windows, adjusting to schedule changes as needed.
