MECHANICAL SERVICES & HVAC SOLUTIONS
Seeking a company with the extensive experience and construction engineering capability necessary to oversee delivery of complex laboratory systems, the Scripps Research Institute selected UMEC (CA) to install all HVAC, plumbing, and lab plumbing systems for this highly advanced facility. The project involved installation of three air handlers capable of circulating air at a total rate of 92,000 cubic feet per minute (CFM), one 450-ton chiller, two strobic exhaust fans with a total capacity of 45,000 CFM, and two general exhaust fans with a total capacity of 47,000 CFM. The company also ran air, gas, vacuum, and lab waste plumbing to 29 lab benches. UMEC completed all, commercial HVAC and plumbing services on this fast-track mechanical construction project in less than one year.
